Tenitus
Review
Just before
explaining the causes of tenitus, I want
to let you know that this term is a misspelling
for tinnitus.
If
you or someone you love is suffering from tenitus, then it
is extremely important that you know about this
disorder.
You
should keep in mind that nobody needs to live with this
disorder and there are ways of curing this disorder contrary
to popular belief and what many doctors tell their
patients.
Even
though there is not medical treatment available that
guarantees curing tenitus, you can still overcome it if you
know the right way and the causes of tenitus.
This
is the starting point, i.e., getting to know the causes of
tenitus. There are a number of causes that lead to tenitus
and we will discuss them in brief in this
article.
Around
85% of ringing in the ear is due to cochlea damage. Tenitus
that is due to cochlea damage is normally noise damage that
is, it happens due to regular exposure to extremely loud
noises like listening to music with very high volume,
attending a lot of concerts, working in a noisy factory
etc.
Loud
noises damage the hearing ability of your ear as they damage
your cochlea. Due to this, tenitus develops and in serious
cases, it may also result in permanent loss of hearing. This
is one of the major causes of tenitus.
There
are many other factors that may result in the damage of
cochlea. These include ear infection, ear wax removal, nasal
passage surgery, severe injury to head. It is not necessary
that a person is exposed to ear deafening noises for
developing ringing in the ear.
Another
major cause of tenitus is stress. One in ten tenitus suffers
have this as the root cause of their disorder and therefore
making this cause the next most important cause when it
comes to hearing condition and ear ringing.
This
type of tenitus involves the breakdown of certain key parts
of the brain among which one of them is
hypothalamus.
If
you are someone who is always under stress, then it is very
likely that you will suffer from ringing in your ears. This is due to the
fact that the hypothalamus is affected severally by stress
that lasts long-term and therefore it stops it from
producing certain chemicals that are essential for the
regular and normal functioning of your
body.
Another
of the different causes of tenitus is sinus. Even though
this accounts for no more than 5% of all cases regarding
tenitus, it is still worth mentioning since every cause has
different treatment method. Those who suffer from tenitus
due to sinus are those that have rhinitis, allergies and
chronic sinusitis.
The
fourth most important cause in our list of major causes of
tenitus is Meniere’s disease. Tenitus is one the symptoms of
this types of diseases which itself is an inner ear disorder
that leads to dizziness, ear pressure, nausea and
tenitus.
Tenitus
can be very frustrating and irritating and therefore it is
very important that if you are suffering from it, you know
the exact cause in your case and take appropriate
measures.
